Martha Ayewah, MD
Dr. Martha Ayewah was born in Lagos, Nigeria and grew up in the Netherlands. She currently resides in New York with her amazing husband, Kevin. She speaks English but used to be very fluent in Chinese Mandarin. She completed her medical school in Texas and medical training in New York. Dr. Ayewah was the first Black Female National President of the Student Osteopathic Surgical Association. When not operating, she loves all things creative – painting, drawing, crafting, interior decorating, or anything to find beauty in life. She also enjoys self-care like massages, facials, reading a good book, and spending time with her husband.
After spending over a decade in medical training, she has come to strongly believe that self-care should be everyone’s priority. Transforming ones body through surgery can be an act of self-care, so she wants to help support any patient willing to take that next step.
