Dr. David Gilbert is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He obtained his medical degree at University of Alberta Edmonton in Alberta, Canada.

Dr. Gilbert completed an internship in General Surgery at the Department of Surgery Vancouver, British Columbia.

He did residency in General surgery and Plastic surgery at University of Alberta Edmonton in Alberta, Canada.

Dr. Gilbert completed two residency programs. The first program in General surgery at Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine in Norfolk, Virginia. The second, in Hand surgery at New York University Bellevue Hospital in New York, New York.

He is a Founding Member for the Society of Genitourinary Reconstruction. He was awarded, “Top Docs” in 2012, 2018, and 2020.

When Dr. Gilbert is not in the operating room, he enjoys swimming, going to baseball games, and watching movies with his wife.
