Frank Lau, MD
Dr. Frank Lau is a highly accomplished physician dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care with a strong emphasis on safety and outstanding clinical outcomes. Born in San Francisco, Dr. Lau brings a diverse and global perspective to his practice, speaking five languages—English, Spanish, French, Cantonese, and Mandarin—which allows him to effectively connect with and care for patients from a wide range of backgrounds.
Dr. Lau earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School, where he graduated with Research Honors in 2006. His career has been marked by a commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and advancing medical knowledge. He has received numerous accolades, including the Outstanding Accomplishments by a Junior Faculty Member Award from LSU Health Sciences Center in 2017, and has been recognized multiple times for his research contributions through best paper and poster awards at regional and national conferences.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Lau has contributed to the scientific community as an Academic Editor for PLoS ONE. His research spans a variety of important topics, including tissue engineering, wound healing, and cancer modeling, reflecting his dedication to improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practice and innovation.
Dr. Lau is also passionate about giving back and supports causes such as breast cancer research and the Lipedema Foundation. Outside of his professional work, he is a proud father of three children.
