David Allison, MD
Dr. Allison is a double board-certified surgeon by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the Western Kentucky University and a Radiology Technologist degree from Bowling Green State Vocational Technical School. He went on to pursue his medical degree in West Indies attending the St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada.
Dr. Allison returned to the US and went on to complete a residency in general surgery at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center in New York, then followed with a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He later trained in a specialty fellowship program focused on Trauma Surgery and Critical Care at Frankford Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
In addition to being well trained and highly skilled surgeon, Dr. Allison is a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy Reserves attaining the rank of commander. Dr. Allison is a decorated service member and has received the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
Dr. Allison has a calming and caring bedside manner. He is always available to patients before, during and after their procedures and is committed to partnering with his patients to create the best treatment plan for your unique situation.
Outside of work, Dr. Allison enjoys working on, restoring and driving vintage automobiles.
