James Daniel Day, MD
Dr. James Daniel Day was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee, where he proudly served as Smokey, the university’s beloved mascot. Before pursuing medicine, Dr. Day completed a master’s in counseling psychology and spent eight years working in the counseling field.
Dr. Day believes that each patient is uniquely valued and deserves attentive, respectful, and honest care. He is dedicated to truly listening to his patients’ goals, offering individual recommendations, and ensuring safety and comfort at every step. His mission is to help individuals feel their best—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—through care that honors their dignity and well-being.
After earning his medical degree, Dr. Day was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, recognizing his commitment to academic excellence and ethical leadership. Beyond his clinical work, he has a strong passion for service, having traveled to Uganda multiple times for medical mission work. He also actively supports charities such as YoungLife and TivaWater Uganda.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Day enjoys CrossFit and fitness, outdoor activities, snow skiing, tennis, and golf. He and his wife of 28 years have three children and cherish spending time together as a family.
