Sandeep Kathju, MD

Dr. Kathju is dual Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology. Dr. Kathju earned his BA in Biology from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, followed by the University of Michigan, where he achieved his medical degree and continued to obtain his PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology. Dr. Kathju completed several post graduate trainings beginning with an internship in General Surgery at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, CA; a residency in Otolaryngology at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston; another residency in Plastic Surgery at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, PA; a Visiting Fellowship in Head and Neck Oncologic Surgery at Tata Memorial Cancer Centre in India; and a Visiting Fellowship in Plastic Surgery at Sion Hospital and Wadia Children’s Hospital, also in India. In 2013, Dr. Kathju pursued additional training in leadership by completing the Marshall W. Webster Physician Leadership and Development Program. In addition to his extensive medical education and trainings, Dr. Kathju has also obtained his Master’s in Business Administration at the Katz School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh.

Dr. Kathju has been awarded several honorary recognitions including the Hardesty Award from the Plastic Surgery Research Council (2006), Triological Society Career Development Award (2004) and Beta Gamma Sigma Academic Honor Society.

In Dr. Kathju’s free time he enjoys science fiction and music; He has traveled to over 60 countries and has worked in both India and Japan.
