Dr. Mark Smith was born in Brazil to American Missionary Parents. He studied pre-med at UNC – Chapel Hill and received his MD from Wake Forest. He completed his residency and internship at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. His medical philosophy is to provide the best possible care for every patient, every time, with kindness and compassion.

When not operating he enjoys skiing, photography, cycling, hiking, travel and fitness.
